Today's painting was inspired by some red poppies in a friend's garden in Fort Collins, CO.  


I love this title! My favorite time to paint is in the quiet time of the evening. I frequently get a 'Facetime' call on my ipad around 9ish and a little girl named Selah pops up on the screen. She is my youngest granddaughter and sneak calls me. We giggle and tell stories to each other as she watches me paint. My favorite part of the call, she says "shhhh! here comes daddy I have to go". I just know she fake sleeps, so he doesn't know she is still awake. She will be arriving with her parents today to spend Christmas with us, and I can't wait to see her.
