Today’s painting was inspired by the roses at the Antique Rose Emporium in Independence, TX
 
The Antique Rose Emporium was a frequent field trip when my girls were in school.  I loved going with them to see all the gardens.  They often had weddings in the little country chapel and a gazebo with climbing roses.  A cool place to have a wedding. 
 
When I was a little girl, my grandmother had several antique rose bushes in her back yard.  They smelled so good, she always let me cut them and put them in a vase.  I love having cut flowers in my house all the time.
