The first half of the year while I was still working with the GOB's (Good Ole Boys of NE), I had no problem standing up for what was right. Helping the ladies move up in the male dominated golf company was unsuccessful. HMMM!! 
 
I had a conversation with my aunt and mother about the situations we were dealing with, and they encouraged me to be the voice and stand up for what was right. Look how far women have come since their generation, it would not have happened if we stayed silent. It is easy to stand up when I look at my daughters and granddaughters. I am so grateful for the men in my life that value and respect our work and knowledge. Thank you. xo 
 
Now I am sugar and spice and everything nice with a loud voice expressed in my bold paintings. Today's red painting expresses the beauty of flowers, and the power that 'red' gives us to be passionate about our beliefs and values. My message is to inspire you to be your ‘Bold Self’ every day and follow your passion. ☺

I think I mentioned last week that when I paint, I listen to music, podcasts, and audio books. 
Book
Yes, ladies, you can thank me for today's image of Matthew (above). One of my favorite books this year was Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey. I highly recommend the audio book because he narrates. 
Music
When I paint Mini's I usually listen to Christmas music. Throughout the year I like Stevie Nicks, The Doors, Pink (She usually gets the Party Started), The Eagles, Lenny Kravitz, Santana, Tina Turner, Tony Bennett, it is a great mix. I should make a play list and share it. I will put it on my list for 2022. 
Podcasts
I am Catholic, so I love ‘A Rosary Companion’ it is the daily rosary. This coming year I will be listening to Fr. Mike Schmitz ‘The Bible in a Year’. I also listen to a lot of art podcasts. Please reach out to me if you want a list.
