Today's painting was inspired by the hollyhocks in Corrales, NM.
 
Corrales is a small village about 15 minutes away from my home.  It has great restaurants, breweries, art galleries and farmers markets.   The Rio Grande River runs along the village and the terrain is so different from where we live. It is lush and green and there are orchards, farms, and vineyards.   Rio Rancho has more cacti and a high desert terrain.   I love spending time in the village, it reminds me of my time on the farm.
 
I am very excited to share that I will be showing my work in May at the Corrales Artist Studio Tours. There will be 80 artists in studios revealing their newest work. I will share more on this event in the new year and the studio I will be in.
